San Jose has a number of areas throughout the city with an abundance of space for all types of companies and business uses.

  • North San Jose, also known as the Innovation Triangle and Rincon de Los Esteros, is home to 1,400 of the most well-known technology companies in the world, and more than two million square feet in retail development opportunities.
  • Edenvale Technology Park, located in South San Jose, is rapidly becoming the center of the region’s growing life science and solar industries.
  • The Monterey Corridor has one of the largest concentrations of employers in San Jose, with a mix of heavy and light industrial businesses, service providers and suppliers.
  • The Julian-Stockton area houses a mix of heavy industrial users and businesses offering support services to local industry clusters.
  • Olinder has traditionally been home to heavy industrial business facilities.

Other San Jose areas that are prime for new or relocating businesses include:

  • Alviso, the bay-side community that is home to top global brands including Tivo, Harmonic and Boston Scientific.
  • The International Business Park, located in with immediate access to light rail, retail amenities, Hwy's 880 & 680, is home to office, R&D and manufacturing facilities.

Neighborhood Locations

San Jose has hundreds of neighborhoods that offer businesses a great location to set up shop. In particular, the Redevelopment Agency has established and supports close to a dozen Neighborhood Business Districts and Neighborhood Business Clusters throughout the city.
